Last weekend after visiting Nancy I fell in love with two great old cases she was getting rid of. Living in a tiny, old house (not cute old, just old, old) I couldn't think of one place I could use these. But I loved them, and the price was right. I brought them home anyways knowing I'd regret it if I didn't. I carried them into my studio and proceeded to empty every last flat surface in the room. Onto the floor it all went... and then I saw just where I could use these. I put one atop my desk and the other on the dresser. I love the aesthetic they add, as well as the great storage they offer. Within just a few hours not only had these found their perfect new home, but I had a completely clean studio to boot!

You did good, girl!! Love it!! I would have found a place for those two great cases, too! They are wonderful! Makes me want to clean up my end of the kitchen which is home to my "studio" and "do over." I am taking tiny steps each day to get it better organized and consolidate bitty things in better places -- does that make sense?? LOL!!
I can only imagine how a clean studio would feel!!

Looks great, Dede! I, too, sometimes see things I just know I can't pass up (even though I've no idea where they're going to go!) Good for you, though, listening to your inner voice. Amazing what "new" items can inspire--even cleaning out the studio! I need some of that inspiration, myself!

What a wonderful studio and I'm glad you were able to find a place for the two cases. Love that nook & cranny desk of yours and all the vingettes inside of it. Did you just rearrange things or did you get rid of the stuff you put on the floor?
